Announcing: The glorious return of Apartment 4H
After months in seclusion, of leaving the tumblrsphere to fend for itself without the subtle hand of The Universal Caricature directing its fate, I have emerged to tell you that it was time not spent in vain, internet.
By the end of October, Dave (@drhodenbaugh) and I will be relaunching Apartment 4H! Not only will it be returning from its year-long hiatus, but the strips will now be in full, glorious color. And if we can figure out the html5, also in smell-o-vision. Stay tuned, dear readers, great things will soon be upon us!

My latest creation for Interactive Art and Computational Design! The full blog entry can be found here.
TLDR: I used the wrong program / library for a project and salvaged it with wizards.
My first South by Southwest Interactive was a gem. A week of nonstop sensory overload was exactly the way I wanted to spend my spring break. Friendships were forged, lessons were learned, and free food was sought after as though it were the holy grail itself.
One of the best parts, however, was an unexpected partnership with MAYA Design and Livescribe to go forth into the conference as a sort of visual note-taking ambassador. Armed with a pen with the power to record what it drew, activate icons within my notebook and start a conversation with anyone, I ventured into SXSW with a stalwart friend and ally. Shown here are some of the fruits of my labors, plucked from the minds of some excellent presenters.
More notes after the jump!
